Today we are going to install a cellar 2.5 m in diameter. We have already removed the humus, we have already established a place. The cellar must face midnight through the entrance. We also start.
The assembly of this basement is very simple. Virtually every construction company, and even a "home hero" / DIY enthusiast will do it.
The excavation should be about 1.7 m. A concrete slab should be poured at the very bottom. Where we have groundwater, the basement should be secured against displacement by these waters. We anchor this cellar, cover it with a mixture of sand and cement, and cover the cellar with the remaining soil from the excavation. Before we cover, the part protruding above the ground should also be secured with styrodur plates. We stick on a special mounting foam. Then we cover this styrodur with a 200 g non-woven fabric and cover it with soil.
Cellars are mainly used to store food in stable thermal and humidity conditions. In winter, the temperature that is maintained here is between 3 and 5 °C. In summer, the temperature is around 10-12 °C.

We recently moved into our home. We already had some preserves made earlier, we searched, searched and found that a cellar of this type would be the right solution for us: round with an oblique entrance. The assembly of the basement itself took one day plus one additional day to be able to cover it with the ground. It turns out that there is so much space that we still have enough space until autumn and for new, "fresh" things.
